NNSA Notice Of Proposed Floodplain Actions At LANL

NNSA News:

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Los Alamos Field Office is proposing upgrades to the Technical Area (TA) 72 Outdoor Live Fire Range at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), which will ensure that the Protective Force has the tactical training functionalities required to maintain proficient security and response capabilities.

This project is at LANL in the bottom of Sandia Canyon in TA-72. The proposed project will result in vegetation removal, added ground disturbance, and soil stabilization within the 100-year floodplain.

The Los Alamos Police and Fire Departments are taking over the nature center 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 15.

 

Join officers and firefighters to discuss hiking safety, wild animal safety and more. There also will be police vehicles and the and bomb truck for families to look at and for kids to sit inside. There may be some special giveaways for kids, as well.
