SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) today reports the death of a one-year-old Roosevelt County resident from influenza-related illness, the boy is New Mexico’s first pediatric influenza (flu) death of the 2019-2020 season.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has announced that as of Dec. 27, 2019 the number of hospitalized cases or deaths from e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury (EVALI) was 2,561 nationwide.
