Call For Pets To Visit Los Alamos Teen Center

Los Alamos Teen Center is hosting de-stress activities for teens over the next couple weeks as Los Alamos High School heads into finals week and wraps up the school year.

The Teen Center is seeking puppies, kittens and any other cute, socialized animals to visit the Teen Center May 23, May 25, May 30 and June 1. Pet owners are asked to accompany their pets for the entire visit.

The Teen Center is looking for animal visits 3-4 p.m. and 4-5 p.m. or 3-5 p.m. on the dates listed above.

Children’s Grief Center Hosts Free Summer Activities For Grieving Youth And Families

ALBUQUERQUE  The Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico, which offers free support groups during the school year, is providing free summer activities for children and their families who have experienced the death of a loved one.
  • Good Grief Day Camp: June 17 – The Children’s Grief Center is hosting a six hour day camp for children aged seven to high school senior who have had someone they love die. LAS CRUCES Attorney General Hector Balderas and the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) sent a letter urging the U.S. government to change its policy so that state attorneys general can use federal funds to investigate and prosecute a wider range of Medicaid abuse and neglect cases, including those that happen at home.
 
Medicaid is a joint federal-state program that provides free or low-cost medical benefits to millions of Americans. More than 6.4 million people enrolled in the Medicaid program are age 65 or older.
