Los Alamos Middle School teacher Laura Parkison and her 12-week-old daughter Rachel Parkison sell cherry scones at a benefit bake sale Monday in the lobby of Los Alamos National Bank. The fundraiser is for Los Alamos High School teacher Joy Handsberry who has had a recurrence of her cancer and continues chemotherapy treatments this summer. Mondays benefit bake sale raised $592.55 for Handsberry and rumor has it that two White Rock angels later dropped off a $1,000 check to support her fight.
