SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham tested positive for COVID-19 late Wednesday afternoon. Per state and CDC guidance and protocol, Gov. Lujan Grisham is isolating at the governor’s residence and will not celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday with family.

DEA Laboratory Testing Reveals 6 Out Of 10 Fentanyl-Laced Fake Prescription Pills Contain Potentially Lethal Dose Of Fentanyl

DEA News:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is alerting the public of a sharp nationwide increase in the lethality of fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills.  

The DEA Laboratory has found that, of the fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills analyzed in 2022, six out of ten now contain a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl. This is an increase from DEA’s previous announcement in 2021 that four out of ten fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills were found to contain a potentially lethal dose.

Twenty participants—employees of County, School and Library—completed a Youth Mental Health First Aid class Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Youth Mental Health First Aid, a five-hour training (plus 2 hours of pre-work) is designed to teach how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Attending this workshop were employees with the county, schools, and the library.

Waitlist For NMDVR Services Opens To All Categories

SANTA FE — There is no longer a wait for vocational rehabilitation services in New Mexico for anyone determined eligible.

The waitlist for New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation services—which as recently as fall 2021 was more than 1,300 individuals—has been cleared.
