Pianists Natasha Stojanovska and EunAe Lee are sharing the stage and the piano bench for their upcoming Four Hands Piano Recital Saturday at the Cathedral Basilica, 131 Cathedral Place in Santa Fe. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the church. The program will feature works by Bach, Schubert, Poulenc and Debussy.
Lee and Stojanovska met each other while pursuing their doctoral studies in piano at Northwestern University. Lee is a professor at the University of Mary and Stojanovska is a musician living in Santa Fe.

Paella is the national dish of Spain. The first time I ate paella was over twenty years ago in Seville, Spain. I traveled there to help do research on ancient acequias for a book that my friend was working on at the time. In its traditional form, it is a rice dish made with Spanish chorizo, rabbit and fresh seafood. The name is believed to have come from an old Arabic word meaning leftovers. Three Vehicle Accident With Minor Injuries On Truck Route
A three vehicle crash with minor injuries occurred this morning at the bottom of the truck route. The accident included a bus carrying just one passenger. The accident is affecting eastbound traffic on N.M. 501. After water from a leaking gate valve and subsequent repair efforts destroyed a roadway in the Quemazon subdivision Wednesday, Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities (DPU) and the Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division collaborated on a plan to fix the road as quickly as possible.
Repairs are scheduled for Friday, Monday and Tuesday April 26, 29, 30.

DP Road Phase II Reconstruction Project Begins May 6

Los Alamos County Public Works Department is under contract with TLC Plumbing & Utility to start work May 6 on the DP Road Phase II Reconstruction project.
The project on DP Road will start near the Los Alamos Fire Department Training Station on the west end to the end of the road entering TA-21.
The contractor has begun preliminary work such as utility locates, construction staking and setup of staging area and yard.
