ALBUQUERQUE — REVEL will host the first-ever “Love Life ALS Stunt Carnival Saturday, Oct. 4, at 4720 Alexander Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, bringing together stunts, live entertainment, and community activities to raise awareness and support for families impacted by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The event will feature Glenn Allen Love Jr., a former UCLA and Canadian Football League player turned Hollywood stunt performer. All proceeds from the event will go to the Love Life ALS Foundation.

Jemez Broadband Project Connecting Hundreds Of Homes

SANTA FE — The first homes in a new broadband development project on the Pueblo of Jemez are now receiving high-speed internet.

The fiber connections are being installed because of a multimillion-dollar broadband project grant. Currently, 21 homes have been connected directly to fiber on the new network.

The project will eventually provide fiber broadband to more than 670 unserved and underserved homes, Tribal departments, programs, and businesses upon completion.

Today, the FBI returned a historic map titled “Villa de Santa Fe” to the Government of Mexico during a ceremony in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The map had been reported stolen in 2011.

MARY VIRGINIA PIERCE Oct. 6, 1941 – Sept. 15, 2025

Mary Virginia Pierce, 83, of Los Alamos, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born to Max and Virginia Day in Mobile, Alabama, on October 6, 1941. In the late 1940s, her family moved to Los Alamos, where she grew up and graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1959.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Virginia Day; her brother, Max “Boy” Day; and her beloved daughter, Judy Henry.

A recent New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) report on Unintentional Fall-Related Injuries Among Older Adults in New Mexico includes some key points on fall-related deaths and hospitalizations among New Mexicans aged 65 and older.
