NMED Offers Free Domestic Well Water Testing At Las Vegas Water Fair June 28

NMED News:

LAS VEGAS — The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) will host a free domestic well water testing event in Las Vegas on Saturday, June 28.

Testing will be available 10 a.m.–2 p.m. in Las Vegas at the Contractor Connects + Event, located at the West Las Vegas High School, 179 Bridge Street in Las Vegas.

Well water tests typically cost about $150 but will be free to the first 100 participants or while supplies last. Participants must bring their own water sample to the event in order for it to be tested. Test results will be mailed to the households Read More

The show features two projects by artist Sharon Stewart: El Cerrito: A Village Life Portrait, and FIRESCAPE. Stewart’s work addresses traditions surrounding water in New Mexico and the challenges of acequia maintenance, preservation, and utilization in the face of the population changes and climate change.

VADITO — Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort announced today that it will build a new two-person chairlift to replace an iconic detachable surface lift that’s been transporting skiers at Sipapu for nearly half a century. Watch out for the Facebook grocery giveaway scams- making the rounds once again online. What are these scams? Basically, they post in a Facebook group, offering free groceries like the ones below.
