WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) today announced a collaboration with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) to provide mobile radiation detection equipment to countries in Latin America, South East Asia and Africa.

Boy Scout Museum Society Meets July 30

The Boy Scout Museum Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday July 30 at the LDS Church, 1967 18th St., in Los Alamos.
The agenda will contain a report on the Raton Boy Scout Museum trip and new business on a website and virtual museum projects.
Senior scouts and troop leaders are needed at this meeting to assist with the projects.

Los Alamos native Harold Opperman, “Pastor Hal,” 68, passed away June 23, 2013.
A loving husband, father and grandfather of Las Vegas, Nev., Pastor Hal was born March 3, 1945, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Opal Opperman. He is survived by his brothers, Paul Opperman of Albuquerque and Gayle Opperman of Henderson.

- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 cup lukewarm water(90-95 degrees)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup scalded milk (just until you see small bubbles on the edge of the pan)
- 1 egg, beaten
- About 4 cups of sifted flour

JEMEZ SPRINGS─The Valles Caldera Trust is asking for public input as the staff continues its efforts to establish a comprehensive strategy for future public access on the Valles Caldera National Preserve.
The trust is preparing a Transportation Recreation and Suitability Study (TRSS) to develop the permanent transportation and recreation infrastructure beyond the future visitor center.
