Pinon School ‘Tagged’ by Vandals

On Saturday evening, Jan. 25, Pinon Elementary School was “tagged” by vandals. The graffiti consisted of a number of vulgar and inappropriate words and phrases.

As a community, we should not put up with this senseless disregard and marring of our public property. As such, I asked Kevin Honnell, Los Alamos School Board President, to convene a special Board meeting at Pinon Elementary at 5 p.m., Jan. 30 to discuss the district’s response to vandalism.

Los Alamos Police Blotter: Jan. 17 to Jan. 23, 2013

The following information is provided by the Los Alamos Police Department.

Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of the charges filed against them.

Jan. 17 at 10:16 a.m. / A 68-year-old Los Alamos man reported that he was the victim of larceny in the 2800 block of Villa Street. The estimated loss is more than $20,000. The matter is under investigation.
