FBI Seeks Public’s Help

FBI News:

The Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations and the FBI are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Nov. 30 at the Sonic Drive-In in Shiprock.

Shortly after midnight, two individuals dressed in black and with blue bandanas over their faces entered the restaurant on Highway 491.

Witnesses said one of the robbers carried an AK-style assault rifle.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and may have gotten into a silver or white four-door sedan.

Detectives from the Los Alamos Police Department’s Investigations Division, working in conjunction with the Albuquerque Police Department’s Auto Theft Division, have apprehended a man suspected in the recent rash of auto burglaries in Los Alamos.

Skylar B. Smith, 20, of Rio Rancho, who previously lived in Los Alamos, was arrested Monday, Dec. 1 on a Los Alamos warrant for auto burglary and theft of credit cards.
