U.S. Marshals Selling Works of Art

WASHINGTON–The U.S. Marshals Service is conducting online auctions to sell 245 works of art by Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec and other old masters as well as pieces by more recent famous artists.
The items are up for auction at www.txauction.com until July 2.
The pieces of art were seized from several federal court cases and are now forfeited to the government.

Vehicle Rollover Shuts Down East Road
A white van on Central Avenue attempted to enter East Road at about 2:15 p.m. today when it struck a Toyota 4 Runner, causing it to flip over and land on its side on East Road. Officials Break Ground on Interagency Fire Center at Los Alamos National Laboratory’s TA-49
Dignitaries broke ground Tuesday morning on an Interagency Fire Center at Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Technical Area-49. The 6,400 square foot facility will serve as a joint coordination and response center for fire events around the area. Vehicle Accident Closes Truck Route

A County trash truck was sideswiped this afternoon while heading down the truck route by a car going uphill. The driver of the car left his lane and collided with the trash truck.
Los Alamos Firefighters used the jaws of life to remove the driver from his car. LAFD is transporting him to Los Alamos Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The gas tank on the trash truck punctured and leaked some fuel onto the ground where the accident occurred.
Hazmat is removing the fuel spill and the vehicles are in the process of being towed from the area.
