The idea of replacing natural grass with artificial turf on selected Los Alamos County-owned athletic fields has been circulating around the community for some time.

Results are in from the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly Pace Race held April 29 held on the North Mesa trail by the rodeo arena. 

Kamil Chadirji-Martinez was the top predictor in the weekly pace race. He was 8 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Zach Medin with a 13 second differential; Deana Tsang recording 22 seconds off; Jan Velechovsky with a 24 second differential; and Edith Acosta at 27 seconds off.
