Secret City Esports Sends Six Teams To NMAA State Championships

LAPS News:
The Los Alamos High School Esports Team, Secret City Esports, is sending six teams to the NMAA State Championships being held April 10-12.
The team was recently ranked the number three program in the United States by USA Today. This is the second year in a row making the top 25. Last year, they came in third overall at the state finals.
Esports became a New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) sanctioned activity in 2019.
That year, teams from Los Alamos placed 2nd at the state competition. In 2021, they were named 4A state champions.

Winter made a return visit last week to New Mexico. Friday and Saturday saw winter-like temperatures below freezing. The big winner in terms of snowfall was the east facing slopes of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Areas near Mora picked up 16 inches of snow.
The temperatures will rise dramatically this coming week, with forecasts calling for 80 degrees by Saturday.

Mountain Club Shines At 2025 New Mexico Swimming Short Course Finale And State Championships

The 2025 New Mexico Swimming Short Course Spring Finale was hosted by Beast Aquatics at the Santa Fe Community Center (GCCC) from March 1-2. A total of 363 swimmers from 12 teams participated in this exciting event. We are proud to announce that Mountain Club took First Place for the third consecutive year, scoring 1,445 points with 42 swimmers!
