Youth ages 5-13 who have not registered for recreational soccer for the coming year are urged to sign up this weekend.
Deadline for registration is Sunday, Aug. 3.

Alex Kirk Signing Autographs at Chili Works Saturday

Former Lobos basketball star Alex Kirk will be at Chili Works on Trinity Drive 10 a.m. to noon Saturday to meet the public and sign autographs.
Kirk told the Los Alamos Daily Post a few minutes ago that he will be happy to autograph hats, shirts, basketballs and other items at Chili Works Saturday.
Kirk is a native of Los Alamos and graduate of Los Alamos High School headed to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers later this month. He has been in town recently visiting his family and conducting basketball camps with local kids and presenting talks to service organizations. Read More
Strother is Top Predictor and Female Finisher Again

Nikol Strother repeated her achievement of three weeks ago by being the top predictor of once second off her predicted time and being the top female finisher in the three-mile race with a time of 19:41 at Pinon (Rocket) Park in White Rock.
Ted Romero followed suit by being the next best predictor with a five second differential and recording a 19:27 for best three-mile finisher.
Other top predictors were Roy Cope at six seconds off, Heather Hughes with a 19 second difference, and Duane Marr recording a 21 second differential. Tad Read More

Los Alamos Pony Club member Erin Kober, 17, won the Charles Owen Technical Merit Award July 26 in the Cobblestone Farms Horse Trials in Dexter, Mich.
Kober, riding her horse Dakota Night, an 18-year-old Morgan/Arab cross (aka Cody), is a HB/C3 Traditional rider in the USPC certifications.
