Registration Opens For Jemez Mountain Trail Races Half Marathon

Los Alamos High School football player Peter Brewer has accepted a partial scholarship to play football for the University of Montana Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies are a perennial Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) power, more commonly known as Division 1-AA. Brewer selected UMt based upon the location, their winning tradition, and the magnitude of the scholarship. D-1 football signing day is Feb. 5, but athletes can always commit before that date.

The Los Alamos Aquatomics, along with Northern Aquatic Club and Taos Swim Club, hosted the LA Winter Invitational this past weekend at the Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center. The Aquatomics had 67 swimmers in the meet, 19 of whom competed for the first time. Two hundred thirty-five athletes from across New Mexico swam at the annual event.
