WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sens. Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich announced Friday that the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has heeded their call to reconsider a proposal to merge the New Mexico and Arizona state offices and will allow the offices to remain separate.

The Los Alamos Fire and Police Departments held a 9/11 Memorial Climb this morning at the Pajarito Ski Hill to honor the fallen in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on America. They started at the lodge and went to the top via the fire road. Both Fire Chief Troy Hughes and Police Chief Dino Sgambellone participated in the event.
