CARLSBAD – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) submitted its third Compliance Recertification Application (CRA) for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant’s (WIPP) to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Wednesday, demonstrating continued compliance with EPA regulations for radioactive waste disposal, as required by Congress.
