New Mexico’s Bataan Memorial Building Added To National Register Of Historic Places

The New Mexico Historic Preservation Division has announced the Bataan Memorial Building, New Mexico’s former state and territorial capitol, has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The addition comes following a cross-department effort from a number of New Mexico state agencies to recognize the historic building’s importance to the state’s history and its memorialization of New Mexico veterans.

NMDOT Prepares For Annual Good Friday Pilgrimage To El Santuario De Chimayó

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is actively preparing for the annual Good Friday pilgrimage to El Santuario de Chimayó, a tradition that draws thousands of walkers from across the region.
Crews have been working for weeks to prepare and will start 12-hour shifts this evening and will continue through Saturday to ensure pedestrian safety along key routes.
