Innovators Invited to Register for Information Day Event

The New Mexico Consortium and Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation, partnering with High Desert Discovery District (HD3), is holding two events for innovators. 

The first event is Information Day, which is an information briefing 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. This pre-Discovery Day event will give innovators a chance to learn more from HD3 CEO, board members and advisors.

Mini-Sumo Robot Competitions take place 6-8 p.m. today, Nov. 14 at 4711 Quemazon in Los Alamos.  

There are two competitions—one for “entry level” and one for “advanced.” The advanced competition is open to all mini-sumos, even if the builders did not attend the recent robot-building class.

Governor to Propose Streamlining Licensure for Nurses Relocating to New Mexico

Santa Fe – Gov. Susana Martinez will announce at 10 a.m. today a proposal to make New Mexico more competitive for nursing professionals by streamlining the process for nurses licensed in other states to become licensed in New Mexico. 

Martinez also will talk about her efforts to recruit more nurse practitioners to New Mexico from states like Texas, Oklahoma and Utah, where restrictions on nurse practitioners are higher than they are in our state. Read More
