FBI: Man Charged With Allegedly Posting Facebook Messages Threatening To Kill Governor, Law Enforcement Officers

FBI News:

ALBUQUERQUE – Daniel Mock, 33, of Albuquerque appeared today in federal court in Albuquerque for an initial appearance on a criminal complaint charging him with posting messages on Facebook threatening to kill New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and law enforcement officers, in violation of federal law.

The criminal complaint charges Mock with allegedly transmitting threatening communications in interstate or foreign commerce. According to the complaint, Mock allegedly posted threatening messages March 2 and March 13 to the governor’s Facebook page.

Los Alamos Sheriff Announces New Registered Sex Offender

Los Alamos County Sheriff Joe Granville is advising the community of a newly registered sex offender.

Stephen Geisik registered Monday with the local sheriff’s office. He was convicted in the First District Court of Los Alamos of one count of “Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor in the 2nd Degree”.

Stephen Geisik is residing at 850 Rim Road in Los Alamos.

State Police To Conduct Proactive Operation In Española

ESPAÑOLA — Beginning today through March 20, the New Mexico State Police will conduct a proactive operation in Española to suppress crime in Española and the surrounding communities of Rio Arriba County, Chama and Taos.

FBI: Mescalero Man Faces Federal Assault Charge

FBI News:

Josea M. Kazhe, 19, of Mescalero on the Mescalero Apache Reservation has been charged in connection with an alleged assault with a chainsaw that occurred Dec. 24, 2019.

The FBI and U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs arrested Kazhe March 3 in Mescalero.

Kazhe is charged federally with assault resulting in serious bodily injury. He had an initial appearance Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Las Cruces.

The FBI and BIA are investigating.
