Laboratory Retiree Group: First Tuesday Breakfast Oct. 4

LRG News:

Fully vaccinated Lab retirees (and potential retirees) are invited to drop in at the Laboratory Retiree Group (LRG) monthly breakfast, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Morning Glory Restaurant, 1377 Diamond Dr., across from Los Alamos high school.

Morning Glory serves a full breakfast and pastries. Retirees buy their breakfast; LRG pays for coffee or tea.

Last call to get tickets to Taste of Knowledge 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at Pig + Fig Café in White Rock. 

An incredible menu will be offered with five dining stations:

  • Soft fresh-baked pretzels with beer cheese sauce;
  • German potato salad, cucumber salad in dill crème fraiche, fresh sauerkraut;
  • Crispy fried cutlets of pork loin, potato dumpling pasta, brown mushroom gravy;
  • Summer sausage, bratwurst, butterkase, sweet brown German farmer’s bread and fresh fruit; and
  • Traditional apple strudel slices and chocolate hazelnut petit fours for dessert.

Last Lunches At Pajarito Mountain Cafe Until Winter

Pajarito Mountain Cafe News:

The Pajarito Mountain Cafe will be open for lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this weekend (Sept. 24-25).

Although the lift-served hiking and biking are not available, the green chile cheeseburgers and and fall views are fantastic and ready for the community to enjoy.

Pyramid Café Moving/Expanding To Central Park Square

BUSINESS News:

Pyramid Café announces its new location at 157 Central Park Square, next to Pet Pangaea. The space was formerly the location of Time Out Pizzeria.

Owner Ziggy Rzig said the eastern part of the restaurant, facing 15th and Nectar streets, will feature Pyramid’s freshly prepared foods and take-out options.
