I wear pink wings.

The wings amuse the other breast cancer walkers as they guess whether I’m a butterfly or an angel or a fairy. As far as I’m concerned, I’m whatever they need me to be.

The “hot” dog days of summer have arrived! We at The Family YMCA would like to remind you to take appropriate steps to stay safe while being active in these high temperatures. Our bodies have to work much harder to stay cool in hot weather so you might not be able to run or bike as fast or as far as you might in cooler temperatures. Make sure you listen to your body and follow these steps to avoid heat related illnesses.

Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids throughout your day, not just when you are exercising. Drink water before you get thirsty!

FBI: Santa Fe Cardiologist Gets 51 Months In Prison

ALBUQUERQUE ― Chief U.S. District Judge William P. “Chip” Johnson sentenced Roy G. Heilbron last week in Federal Court in Albuquerque to 51 months of imprisonment for his convictions on health care fraud and obstruction of justice charges.

The sentence was announced by U.S. Attorney John C. Anderson, Acting Special Agent in Charge Maxwell D. Marker of the FBI’s Albuquerque Division and U.S. Marshal Sonya K. Chavez.

WASHINGTON, D.C. ― The Department of Justice Wednesday announced the finalization of an April proposal to improve the Drug Enforcement Administration’s ability to control the diversion of dangerous drugs in the midst of the national opioid crisis.
