The Los Alamos Choral Society presents their spring concert, entitled “Love In Bloom,” at 3 p.m., this Sunday at the United Church of Los Alamos.

There will be a second performance at Cochiti Lake on Memorial Day.

They will perform, “How to Talk to Turtles, (a love song),” by Mary Badarak, LACS’s director. It opens with the lines:

The 2012 Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series begins at 7 p.m, Friday May 18 at Overlook Park in White Rock.

Sponsorships are still needed. Checks can be sent to Gordons’ Concerts at 109 Central Park Square, Los Alamos, NM 87544.

All shows start at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Los Alamos Little Theatre’s production of Cowboy Poet, a C&W Musical, an original country-western musical written, composed, and directed by Deborah Magid, opened May 4 to an enthusiastic audience.

Toe tapping music, comedy and a dash of pathos combine to make Cowboy Poet a great evening at the theatre.

Cowboy Poet is set in Pojoaque and Santa Fe, and is all about New Mexico.
