On January 31, the sun came out in upstate New York after a cold snowstorm; the sky was blue, the air was crisp, and Mark Wolfsberg passed away peacefully in his sleep in his home in Delmar. His entire family was home along with his mother, mother in law, and brother. He was a week short of his 53rd birthday.

Jeanette Edeskuty, 89, a resident of Los Alamos since 1950, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Edeskuty, Sr.; parents, Alfred and Adelia Bergren and brother, Donald Bergren. Jeanette loved to travel and went all over the world with her beloved husband, Fred. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Thomas Joseph Humphrey died January 25, 2015 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro, Ga. after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He was born Aug. 8, 1944 to the late Walter Burton Humphrey and Margaret Ellis Humphrey. Before moving to Statesboro in 1997, he lived most of his life in Los Alamos, N.M. where he worked for Los Alamos National Laboratory and in Fairbanks, Alaska where he retired as data processing manager for Golden Valley Electric Association.

Former Los Alamos resident, Laura Elizabeth Marquardt Roach was born June 7, 1920 in Two Rivers, Wis., and completed her baptismal journey on January 1, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Las Cruces, NM at age 94.

The fourth of seven children, her parents, Gusta Krueger Marquardt and Leonard Marquardt, left their native country of Germany in the early 1900s to find a better life in America.
