Bernard “Bun” Ryan, 90, of Los Alamos, passed away on September 29, 2014. He had been a resident of Los Alamos since 1949.

Bun was born on December 23, 1923 in Leadville, CO, the youngest son of James and Bridget Ryan. Following graduation from Leadville High School in 1941, he worked for the JC Penney Corporation.

David Korkos died on September 28, at home, of cancer. He was 67 years old.

David grew up in Oshkosh, Wisc. and Santa Clara, Calif. After graduation from high school, he entered the Marine Corps, where he went on to serve in Vietnam.

Returning home he devoted himself to music and cooking. He played pedal steel guitar in a successful dance band, but he found that playing gigs was taking time away from his other love, cooking, and left the band.
