FBI And Police Seek Information About Santa Fe And Las Vegas Bank Robberies

At approximately 4:55 p.m., Jan. 7, 2016, an unknown person attempted to rob the Community First Bank at 520 Douglas Ave., in Las Vegas, N.M.
 
At approximately 5 p.m., Jan. 8, 2014, an unknown male robbed the New Mexico Bank & Trust at 1549 Paseo de Peralta in Santa Fe.
 

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a bank robbery suspect.

Los Alamos Friends of the Shelter wants to thank the Los Alamos County Animal Shelter for its quick and decisive response to containing the spread of parvovirus that recently sickened two shelter puppies. These puppies came to our shelter from another facility with an extremely high euthanasia rate due to space constraints. 

Transfers of this type give the animals that remain in that shelter a better chance of adoption in that community. In return, our community shelter gains a more diverse pool of adoptable animals. Active Read More

The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau opened an investigation Dec. 28 into a suspicious death, which occurred at a residence on 580 N.M. 3 in Ribera, San Miguel County. State Police officers were dispatched around 12:30 p.m. to the residence for a medical call of an elderly man who had fallen.

Governor On Targeted Law Enforcement Operation To Find And Arrest Drunk Drivers Avoiding Justice

SANTA FE Gov. Susana Martinez announced Wednseday that State Police will be conducting a targeted law enforcement operation every three months next year to find and arrest drunk drivers who fail to show up to court.

State Police Investigate Fuel Spill Near Eagle Nest

NMSP News:

Eagle Nest – Around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), operated by the Fronk Oil Company (Booker, Texas), was traveling westbound on US 64. At mile marker 290, approximately five miles east of Eagle Nest, the vehicle slid off the north side of the roadway and into the Cimarron River, which was located alongside the roadway.
