ALBUQUERQUE – Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) Chairwoman Debra Haaland welcomes the Democratic presidential primary campaigns to New Mexico.

Recently, Secretary Hilary Clinton’s campaign opened an office in Albuquerque and announced plans to open statewide. President Bill Clinton also will host events on Secretary Clinton’s behalf. Education Secretary Hanna Skandera Visits Los Alamos Daily Post Promoting Summer Reading Challenge

New Mexico Secretary of Education Hanna Skandera stopped by the Los Alamos Daily Post newspaper office Friday following her visit to Aspen Elementary School. She spoke about the importance of reading for students and is encouraging students to participate in the New Mexico True Summer Reading Challenge to keep students engaged during the break and allow them to compete. WASHINGTON, D.C.  U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and John Hoeven (R-N.D.) today announced that the president has signed into law legislation they introduced designating the bison as the U.S. national mammal.
