The Voice Of Hind Rajab Comes To Los Alamos For One-Night-Only Free Screening At SALA Event Center March 24

SALA News:

The Free Palestine Series will host a free community screening of The Voice of Hind Rajab at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 24 at SALA Event Center, 2551 Central Ave.

Admission is free and open to the public. The screening is expected to be the only opportunity for Los Alamos residents to see the film on a big screen, as it has received extremely limited US theatrical distribution.

State High School Mock Trial Finals Occur Friday And Saturday In Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE — About 230 students from across New Mexico will participate Friday and Saturday in the finals of the state high school mock trial competition, which will be held at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court.

FBI: Crownpoint Man Pleads Guilty To Strangulation And Assaulting Officer

ALBUQUERQUE — A Crownpoint man pleaded guilty in federal court to strangling a woman and attacking a tribal police officer with a taser.

According to court documents, on March 18, 2025, Jason K. Thompson, 40, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, attempted to strangle Jane Doe. Law enforcement responded to the domestic violence call and attempted to take Thompson into custody. During a struggle with a Navajo Nation Police Department officer, Thompson grabbed the officer’s taser and deployed it against him with the intent to injure him.
