Los Alamos Precision Rifle Team Takes Navy Championship

After the remainder of the teams competed this weekend in Ohio, the Los Alamos Precision Rifle team has again taken the Navy championship.
 
The team score bested the second place team from Joshua High School in Texas by a dominant 31 points. Congratulations to Samantha Miller who is the number one individual for the Navy.

Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is taking kids outside this summer with four camps that encourage 4th-12th graders to connect with nature through hands-on fun and adventure!
 
From June 6-10, kids entering grades 4th-6th can hone their detective skills with Nature Odyssey: Super Sleuths in the Jemez Mountains. In this camp kids will explore the mountains, rivers, and valleys of the Jemez Mountains including the Valles Caldera National Preserve.

My goal is to offer a wide variety of classes that can satisfy any one’s fitness goal at Blue Sky Pilates,” said Mary Lutes, PMA-CPT, owner of Blue Sky Pilates. This March will bring FOUR more classes to the already large list of classes being offered at the studio.

Los Alamos Golf Course Opens Friday!

Los Alamos Golf Course staff announced today that they will open the golf course Friday, Feb. 19.

The golf pro shop will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the first tee time available starting at 10 a.m.  The golf range will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last bucket of range balls sold at 4:30 p.m. These operation hours are subject to change due to weather and course conditions, effective through Saturday, March 12 until the shift to daylight savings time, which begins Sunday, March 13.
