ALBUQUERQUE – Pope Francis has appointed Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, as the 12th Archbishop of Santa Fe.

He succeeds Archbishop Michael J. Sheehan, whose resignation from the pastoral care of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe upon reaching the age limit has been accepted by the Holy Father.

My mother has washed my mouth out with soap on more than one occasion. Of course my parents came from a time when this was acceptable and they believed that what came out of your mouth mattered.

Saint Job of Pochaiv Orthodox Church in Los Alamos was blessed to receive a generous gift from their sister parish of Saint Anthony of the Desert in Las Cruces. 
 
They received the largest hand-painted icon of Christ on a panel in New Mexico. The icon is 7-feet in diameter and has been installed on the ceiling of the church.
