White Rock Presbyterian Church celebrated its 50th anniversary Sunday with joyful service led by several pastors. The service was followed by a talk on the history of the church by Vernon Kerr and Doris Davis-Dillinger. The church was chartered June 25, 1967, with Rev. Robert M. Maxson as its first installed pastor.
Pastor John Guthrie was joined by Harry Chronis, who was pastor from 1986 to 2011, Elizabeth Graham, who was pastor during 2013, Lorelei Kay, Moderator of the Presbytery of Santa Fe, Floyde Smith, associate pastor of Calvary Chapel of Los Alamos, Fred Thomas, pastor of Navajo House of Fellowship near Gallup, and Kara Windler, worship associate.
The congregation participated in a celebratory luncheon following the service.
