The TGIF concert this week features “Participants’ Recital for the Santa Fe Summer Organ Academy” Aug. 2 at First Presbyterian Church, 208 Grant Ave. in Santa Fe.
The community is invited to ejoy the music of these talented organists. The doors to the sanctuary open at 5:15 p.m. and the concert begins at 5:30 p.m. The concert is free with donations accepted.
This is the fifth Summer Organ Academy. The Academy is led by Kimberly Marshall.

Daily Postcard: This long-tailed weasel spotted Wednesday perched between two rocks at Valles Caldera National Preserve is a tiny but scrappy mammal. This mighty mustelid primarily eats lizards, small birds and rodents, but occasionally it will prey on animals larger than itself, lending to its reputation as a ferocious hunter. This week the Art in Public Places Advisory Board is scheduled to discuss a piece of artwork called “The Boys of the Pajarito Plateau.” This community treasures Fuller Lodge, which is one reason I think this subject has generated such interest. (As someone who believes in historic preservation this warms my heart!)
