The Los Alamos Concert Association (LACA) has announced the exciting array of artists it will present in its 77th season beginning in September. The lineup includes pianist Sir Stephen Hough, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, and an innovative young chamber orchestra from Los Angeles.

Mesa Public Library is hosting an art exhibit titled, “Artomicon” in the Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library in conjunction with Atomicon, the library system’s popular new annual event celebrating comics, fandom, science-fiction, fantasy, board games, and more.

Seven Los Alamos High School art students won 10 awards in the 2023 New Mexico Scholastic Art & Writing Competition. Students were recognized at an awards ceremony earlier this year at the Orpheum Community Hub in Albuquerque.

The awards include two Gold Keys, four Silver Keys and four Honorable Mentions in the Digital Art, Drawing & Illustration, Painting and Sculpture categories. The works of the Gold Key award winners are automatically entered into the National Competition.   Read More
