Bosque Redondo Memorial At Fort Sumner Historic Site Honors 155th Anniversary Of Treaty Signing Saturday

On Saturday, June 10, Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site will welcome Shawn Price and the Dinetah Dancers to perform traditional Diné (Navajo) dances and tell stories related to the meaning of the dances and the Long Walk period.
This will be done in recognition of the 155th commemoration of the signing of the Treaty of 1868, as well as Fort Sumner’s Old Fort Days celebration.

U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón is revealing a new poem that will fly into space aboard NASA’s Europa Clipper mission on a year’s long journey to explore Jupiter’s icy moon Europa.
The poem, first shared publicly during a special reading at the Library of Congress, will be engraved on the spacecraft set to launch in October 2024.

PAC 8 News:
Summer video camp started at PAC 8 this week and students chose to do a documentary on Ed the goose. Students learned videography, audio and editing in the first class of the season at PAC 8.
Openings remain in classes for students aged 9-14. Class size is limited to six students per teacher. Sessions cost $125. Scholarships are available for families with two students in the same class.
