The deadline for submissions for the Piñon and Chamisa Elementary Schools Photo Contest is 5 p.m. Friday, June 2.

More information about the contest and how to submit photos may be found here.

Los Alamos Public Schools is scheduled to break ground at Piñon Elementary in late June. The new schools will both feature photographs from the area. LAPS will be selecting photographs for the schools submitted by local residents (students and adults).

Five themes will be used in the new schools to identify classroom wings through the new buildings.

Suds and Shows at the Los Alamos Nature Center are back for another summer! This popular beer and movie series will kick off Thursday, June 8 with a screening of the 90’s action-adventure movie, “The Mummy”.
