The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) is hosting the special The Art of Warner Bros. Cartoons events 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Dec. 18.
The exhibition includes opportunities to see the actual cartoons in the galleries and at special times on the Verus Research DynaTheater five-story screen at 10 a.m., followed by a Science Story Time and fun activities with participants from around the state, including New Mexico Tech, St.

NEW YORK, NY — The Metropolitan Opera will present the company premiere of Eurydice Tuesday, Nov. 23.
Eurydic is a new Met-commissioned opera by Matthew Aucoin—at 31, the youngest composer to have a Met premiere since 1938.
Eurydice is one of three contemporary works to have premieres in the 2021–22 season, the greatest number of new operas to premiere in a single Met season since 1928–29. After lengthy discussion, Los Alamos County Council hit pause on deciding whether to approve the purchase of a piece of art for the Leisure Lagoon as recommended by the Arts and Public Places Board. New Mexico Department Of Cultural Affairs Requests $37.25 Million In General Funds For FY23

SANTA FE — During testimony Monday before the Legislative Finance Committee (LFC), New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (NMDCA) Secretary Debra Garcia y Griego requested $37.25 million in general funds for the agency’s fiscal year 2023 operating budget.
These funds will ensure ongoing education, protection, and preservation of the state’s rich cultural resources. This represents a 10 percent increase over fiscal year 2022.
