The Durango, Colo., based quintet Liver Down the River performs for a large crowd Friday night during the Secret City Summer Concert Series. WATROUS  Fort Union National Monument announces its annual Fort Union Days free public event 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday June 16.
 
This year, programs and activities will include the Dineh Tah Navajo Dancers, New Mexican folkloric dancing by Los Zapateados Dancers, cannon firing demonstrations, musket firing programs and a 19th-century military encampment.

The Los Alamos Big Band and Swing Shift Santa Fe are excited to hold the second annual Big Band Bash, 3-5 p.m. Sunday June 23, at the Betty Ehart Senior Center in Los Alamos.

Admission is free and dancing is encouraged.

Film Office: ‘Silk Road’ To Film In New Mexico

SANTA FE The independent feature film “Silk Road,” produced by Picadilly, will begin principal photography mid-June through mid-July in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico State Film Office Director Todd Christensen announced Thursday.
 
The production will employ 80 New Mexico crew members, 25 New Mexico actors and 400 New Mexico background talent.

After a record breaking concert attendance last Friday at Ashley Pond Park, Sancre Productions welcomes Liver Down the River to the concert stage this Friday, June 7 in celebration of ChamberFest.

The concert is sponsored by the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce. From the high mountain river-valley of Durango, Colo. comes a five-piece band of musicians called Liver Down The River.
