SANTA FE New Mexico School for the Arts (NMSA) will now offer Creative Writing and Literature as a full Major, alongside current majors of Dance, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts, beginning fall 2019.
 
Applications for the inaugural cohort are open and 20 New Mexico 9th graders will be accepted into the program.

Roger Montoya, co-founder and artistic director of Moving Arts Espanola (MAE), spoke Tuesday at the Rotary Club of Los Alamos. Montoya described the growth and success of the nonprofit since it opened its doors in 2008 to the children and youth of the Española Valley and the surrounding communities. MAE provides ‘high quality, affordable performing and visual arts education’ plus free meals and academic support for ages 3-18. New Alert: Another Water Break In White Rock

New Alert:

Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities is reporting another water break in White Rock on Rover Boulevard between N.M. 4 and Meadow Lane.

DPU water crews will shift southbound traffic into the center turn lane beginning around 10 a.m. today to complete temporary repairs.

No interruption of water services are anticipated.

The estimated time repairs will be completed is unknown at this time. Permanent replacement of this section of waterline is scheduled to occur Saturday, April 6.
