The third annual New Mexico Fiber Crawl is May 17-19.

The event opens the doors to more than 35 studios, businesses, farms and museums for an immersive, in-depth look at some of New Mexico’s richest traditions in communities across Northern New Mexico.

The New Mexico Fiber Crawl weekend is free and open to the public. Visitors receive a passport and travel to the various sites to obtain stamps.

Star Party At Jemez Historic Site March 30

JEMEZ SPRINGS — The Village of Jemez Springs and the Jemez Historic Site are working together once again to host a star party 7-10 p.m., Saturday, March 30 featuring telescopes for night sky viewing and Native American storytelling.

Annie White, a sixth-grade student at Pinon Elementary School, is this year’s winner of the Dog Jog Logo contest.

Her drawing will be the official logo for this year’s Dog Jog event and she will receive a free t-shirt featuring her artwork.

The winners are chosen on the basis of artistic merit, creativity and originality.

The full moon in March is called the Worm Moon, and is usually considered the last full moon of winter. It also is called Lenten Moon, Crow Moon, Crust Moon, Chaste Moon, Sugar Moon and Sap Moon.
