Festival Of Trees At Betty Ehart Senior Center Saturday

This week volunteers weathered snow, slush and 25 degree temperatures to decorate two trees in downtown Los Alamos for the Los Alamos MainStreet project. The Festival of Trees is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. Tree viewing has begun. NHCC Opens Proposal Process For 2019-2020 Performing Arts Season

ALBUQUERQUE The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) has launched its second performing arts proposal process to determine its Performing Arts Season that runs between June 2019 and July 2020.
 
All performing artists who would like to present a show at the NHCC during that time period are required to submit a proposal form no later than midnight Dec. 21, 2018.

Daily Postcard: The Valles Caldera National Preserve is operating under winter hours and activities. The Valle Grande entrance station is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Winter activities include hiking, mountain biking, equestrian riding and East Fork fishing. Once the snows are deep enough, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing begin and the Valle Grande Bookstore, managed by Los Amigos de Valles Caldera, will offer snowshoe rentals on site. Film Office: ‘Rattlesnake’ Begins Filming In New Mexico

SANTA FE Today, New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced that the feature film, “Rattlesnake,” produced by Campfire has begun principal photography through mid-December in Santa Fe, Espanola, Las Vegas, Cochiti and Abiquiu.
 
“I’m proud to welcome another great production to New Mexico,” Maniatis said. “Our industry is booming and I’m excited to see more film jobs coming to our state.”
 
The production is employing 100 New Mexico crew members, 20 New Mexico actors and approximately 100 New Mexico background talent.
