Held each September, the New Mexico State Fair remains one of the largest fairs in the nation, with PRCA rodeo and nationally known country-western recording stars, and the Indian and Spanish villages – all the makings for a fantastic family experience!
The New Mexico State Fair offers livestock exhibits and competitions of all kinds to local farmers, ranchers, and 4H club members, while school children from all over the state look forward to seeing their art work displayed in one of the exhibit halls.

Daily Postcard: This bobcat was spotted Friday in the wooded area behind Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Canyon Road. Bobcats are a North American cat that appeared during the Irvingtonian stage of around 1.8 million years ago. The majority of the bobcat’s diet consists of rabbit and hares, with a smaller percentage of rodents, such as squirrels and mice. Attacks by bobcats on humans are rare. ALBUQUERQUE – U.S. District Judge Judith C. Herrera of the District of New Mexico today sentenced Nael Ali, 54, of Albuquerque for violating the Indian Arts and Craft Act (IACA) by fraudulently selling counterfeit Native American jewelry as Indian-Made.
Judge Herrera sentenced Ali, who previously pled guilty to two felony IACA charges, to six months of imprisonment followed by a year of supervised release. Ali also was ordered

Fall Fiber Fiesta 2018 is the sixth annual show organized by the Española Valley Fiber Arts Center. It provides exposure to a broad range of traditional and contemporary handmade fiber artwork.
