Scenes From Summer Concert With Cali Shaw Band

In the seventh weekly show of this year’s Gordons Summer Concert Series, the Cali Shaw Band performed to a large crowd of all ages Friday night at Ashley Pond Park in downtown Los Alamos. Band leader Cali Shaw is a singer-songwriter born in San Francisco and now based in New Mexico. He is considered a rising talent in the southwestern U.S folk scene. Shaw incorporates smart and personal lyrics, vintage Gibson guitars and exotic string instruments such as the Charango and Cuban Tres that lend an interesting twist to modern folk music.
