Local artist Julie Smith will have her work displayed at Rose Chocolatier for approximately four weeks beginning Friday. The community is invited to the opening reception 5-7 p.m., Friday at Rose Chocolatier to see new work Smith has for sale, order a custom Guardian Angel painting or pet portrait of a favorite furry animal, and buy some chocolate for Mother’s Day. The earliest residents were nomadic hunter-gatherers but the first permanent settlements are estimated to have been constructed around 1150 CE.
