SANTA Fe – New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis has announced that the independent feature “Icebox” produced by Icebox Productions, LLC will begin principal photography July through early August in Albuquerque and Española.
“We welcome ‘Icebox’ to New Mexico. In addition to the economic impact for crew and vendors, ‘Icebox’ will employ 40 New Mexicans in principal roles. That is testament to the deep talent pool of actors we have here in our state,” said New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis.

This is a combination heist flick and hot pursuit action film, directed by Edgar Wright. The soundtrack is a marvelous compilation of popular/rock mood and motivational tunes. The performance was Sunday afternoon, the final day of Sciencefest, in Fuller Lodge. Los Alamos 2017 Sectional Duplicate Bridge Tournament
BRIDGE News:
The 56th annual Los Alamos Sectional duplicate bridge tournament is July 28-30 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center.
Last year’s tournament attracted more than 150 bridge players, both from within New Mexico and from surrounding states. More than 100 players came from outside Los Alamos County.
The tournament starts at 2 p.m. Friday with stratified and 499er pair games. Another stratified pair game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday.
