The Tumbleweed Christmas Tree, a children’s book based on a true story, tells of a little girl in Santa Fe who creates Christmas joy by mixing the little she has with the natural bounty provided all around her.
There will be a book reading and signing by local author, Bridget Thomas at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 33 at Sirphey, 1793 Deacon St., off Trinity Drive next door to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The annual Fuller Lodge Open House helps kick off the holiday season as well as the Winterfest festivities.

Dance Arts Los Alamos’ (DALA) 2015 “Nutcracker on the Hill” was a smash hit. The classic Tchaikovsky’s score was mixed with Los Alamos’ history, which produced a show completely unique to the community.
“Nutcracker on the Hill” returns this year but continues to add new twists to this popular holiday ballet. The first being Los Alamos National Laboratory Director Charlie McMillan will take on the role of Oppenheimer.

LALT Offers Class In Laban Method For Actors
LALT News:
Los Alamos Little Theatre will offer a workshop and master class for actors Sunday, Dec. at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St., Los Alamos.
The workshop and class will focus on the Laban Method for Actors, based on the work of Rudolph Laban, described as a visionary, humanist, teacher, choreographer and theoretician whose revolutionary ideas bridged the gap between the performing arts and science.
The workshop will run from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. and the master class from 2-4:30 p.m. The cost of participation is $30, payable the day of the workshop.
