The Art in Public Places Board (APPB) invites the community to participate in a follow-up input survey for the proposed Justice Center Wall art project by local artist J Muzacz.
This large-scale, glass-tiled mosaic is planned for the south-facing wall of the Justice Center, adjacent to Trinity Drive. With a proposed budget of $55,000, the project aims to enhance the south-facing wall of the Justice Center with a vibrant and locally inspired piece of public art that showcases regional flora and fauna.

Los Alamos County Community Services Issues Call For Artists: Public Art Opportunity For Lion Sculpture

The Los Alamos Art in Public Places Board (APPB) is seeking qualifications from artists for an exciting public art opportunity: a sculpture of an African male lion to be installed at the center of a newly designed area surrounded by the relocated Police Memorial Wall, just outside the main entrance of the Los Alamos Police Station. This sculpture will serve as a bold visual enhancement to the memorial site, but is not a memorial itself.

Warhol Foundation Awards $60K To Wheelwright Museum

SANTA FE — The Wheelwright Museum was awarded $60,000 from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in support of a major temporary exhibition focusing on the intersection of activism, creativity, and the effects of military service in the Native American art community in the wake of the Vietnam War. The Foundation’s Spring 2025 Grant Recipients include 51 arts organizations and museums from 25 states across the country who will receive over $4 million to support the visual arts.
