The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the Grand Re-opening at Pig + Fig at 4 p.m., June 3, 2026, at 11 Sherwood Blvd, White Rock, NM 87547.

We invite the public to come out and celebrate the renovations completed at Pig + Fig! If you haven’t been there in a while, you owe it to yourself to come and check out the improvements.

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Studio Tour will host a preview of artwork from all the artists’ participating in the 2026 Santa Fe Studio Tour. Participating artists will be there to greet the public. Michael Walter McInerney of Rio Rancho, New Mexico was born Jan. 21, 1939, to Thomas and Doris McInerney in Shoreditch, London, England. He was the middle of three children; his sister Doris was the eldest, and his brother Stephen the youngest.

After completing secondary school, Michael served three years in the Royal Air Force (RAF), where he began what would become a firefighting career spanning more than six decades. Eddie Gartz had a perfect prediction in the weekly pace race held in Overlook Park in White Rock.  He predicted a time of 7:40 for his finish time. Other accurate predictors were Eliverio Acosta at 2 seconds off; Deana Tsang recording a 4 second differential; Adrian Medin at 5 seconds off; and Catherine Hensley with a 10 second difference.

On the 1-mile road course Lynn Bjorklund was the best finisher at 8:02 and Ted Romero was the first male with a time of 8:59.

Los Alamos High School Sports Lit teacher Lori Thompson organized a fun day of Greek Olympics activities at Urban Park Monday. The students from Lori Thompson’s class taught and ran the activities and the 6th grade class from Mountain School were the participants.
