New Mexico History Museum Screens Student-Produced Documentaries Touching On Themes Connected To America’s 250th July 10

The New Mexico History Museum is hosting a screening of documentaries created by eight National History Day students in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Visitors can watch eight short documentaries 4:30–6:45 p.m., Friday, July 10, created by students from sixth to eleventh grades, that explore themes of freedom, democracy, revolution, reaction, and reform, offering insight into how today’s young people interpret the ideals and legacy of America’s founding documents.

The 4th of July is almost here, and Los Alamos County is ready to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. This year’s 4th of July Spectacular will take place 4-10 p.m. Saturday at Overlook Park in White Rock.
