Two Forums Packed with Information and Resources for LANL Employees Eligible for Voluntary Separation Set for Thursday

The UNM- Los Alamos Small Business Development Center is hosting two community forums this week to provide LANL employees eligible for voluntary separation with information about opportunities and resources available to them. 

Both forums take place on Thursday, March 15:

  • The first forum will is noon–1 p.m., in conference room #202A at the Los Alamos Research Park, 4200 West Jemez Road.
  • The second forum is 5:30-6:30 p.m. at The Hive, 134 State Road 4 in White Rock.

Curves 14th Annual Food Drive Now Underway

Recognizing that the need for donations is greater than ever at local food banks across the nation, Curves International is kicking off the 2012 Curves Food Drive with a challenge to all Curves Clubs to meet or exceed last year’s donations.


Each club, including Curves of Los Alamos at 967 Central Ave., is asking its members to donate bags of non-perishable food or cash throughout the month of March to support their local community food bank.

The Los Alamos Community Winds Presents ‘Toys and Stories’ March 17

The Los Alamos Community Winds presents a fun family concert, “Toys and Stories,” at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at Crossroads Bible Church in Los Alamos. 

Like all Winds concerts, it is offered free of charge to the community.

Second Strange Being Sighted in Los Alamos!

The second weird creature has been sighted in Los Alamos in as many weeks. “It” was sighted lurking around the Los Alamos Little Theater attempting to enter through a side door. “It” appeared to be a “Lovable Creature” but seemed to find English difficult. “It” appears to be a carrodactyl flying-carrot-type radiculose from the planet Radicule by the name of Ramseed.
